80 units in cluster homes planned for South Pike Road in Buffalo Township
An 80-unit residential development planned along South Pike Road (Route 356) in Buffalo Township is moving forward.
The housing plan, to be known as Heritage Crossing, would be on a 25-acre site across from the Rosebrook assisted living center.
The plan will be built by Weaver Homes. The company hopes to close on the property in February or March.
The 80 units would be built in 20 buildings, each consisting of a cluster of four residences.
A common-area clubhouse building and pool will be constructed first, followed by the residences.
The township supervisors Wednesday approved plans for the development, with several contingencies.
The supervisors approved the plan, 5-0, contingent upon installing a stormwater retention pond south of South Pike Square, planning for a 6-foot split rail fence, curvature of a cul-de-sac and obtaining the required permitting.
Residents will be able to make only a right onto Route 356 going toward the Route 28 expressway.
Those wanting to turn left onto Route 356 will have to enter Mulone Road near the GetGo convenience store.
Gateway Engineers Inc. submitted the final proposal Wednesday on behalf of Weaver Homes.
