Fire crews clean up after knocking down a fire on Orchard Way in Brackenridge on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021. No one was injured.

A man and his dog were displaced Thursday night as a result of a fire in Brackenridge near the ATI plant.

Three fire companies responded to a fire on the 1100 block of Orchard Way shortly before 10:30 p.m.

Pioneer Hose Co. Chief Rick Jones said it took about 45 minutes to get the fire knocked down.

“We had a good bit of smoke when we got here, with some fire coming out one of the windows,” Jones said.

The Red Cross was called to assist the man and his pet with a place to stay for the night.

Jones said the fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
