Allegheny County Fire Marshal still investigating Brackenridge fire

The second story of a home at 1080 McIntire Way in Brackenridge was gutted Saturday.

The Allegheny County Fire Marshal continues to investigate a fire that engulfed the upper floors of a Brackenridge home on Saturday.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, which broke out about 11:30 p.m. at 1080 McIntire Way, said Kasey Reigner, public information officer for the Allegheny County Department of Emergency Services.

She said the fire appeared to start in a second-floor bedroom.

Seven emergency departments responded to the fire and worked for nearly two hours to knock it down. Responding units included Pioneer Hose, Eureka Fire-Rescue, Highland Hose, Summit Hose, Hilltop Hose, Citizens Hose and Harrison Hills. Tarentum police also were on the scene.

Residents were able to escape but the fire gutted the upper floor of the home.
