An Allegheny Township man was injured when part of a tree fell on him Saturday afternoon, according to authorities.
Police Chief Duane Fisher said the 69-year-old man, who police did not identify, was helping a neighbor trim tree limbs at a home in the 100 block of Lynn Lane at about 1 p.m. on Dec. 3 when he was injured by a falling limb.
“He was cutting a limb that was about 6 inches in diameter when it broke free and struck him,” Fisher said.
The man suffered a head laceration and was complaining of head, back and knee pain when he was transported by ambulance to AHN Forbes Hospital in Monroeville for treatment, the chief said.
No further information on the incident was available.
