Costumes included witches, Buzz Lightyear, Spider-Man, an elephant, a unicorn and Disney princesses.
Appleseed is a private, state-licensed nursery school and child care center serving the Leechburg and Kiski areas.
Students from Highlands Elementary School in Harrison participated in the annual schoolwide Halloween parade through downtown Tarentum.
Spectators lined up along Sixth Avenue and Corbet Street and included parents and grandparents snapping pictures of students and staff in a variety of costumes — from dinosaurs, Harry Potter, aliens and cowboys to witches, a campfire and a box of crayons.
