The Apollo municipal office closed this week and will remain closed until Dec. 20 when it reopens at a new location at 809 N. Warren Avenue.

The move was prompted by the expiration of the borough’s lease at the end of the year at 616 First St., the former Apollo Elementary School building. According to borough officials, the borough’s lease was not renewed because the building’s owner needed additional space.

The borough purchased its new office for $65,000 at the corner of Ninth Street and Warren Avenue. The building is the former group home known as Adelphoi Village-Leonard C. Miller Home.
