A man was killed Wednesday morning when his car rolled over into a creek in Harmar.

Authorities identified an Apollo man as the victim in a Wednesday morning crash in Harmar.

According to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office, Richard C. Bailey, 65, died just after 8 a.m. Wednesday. His car crashed into a creek near Gulf Lab Road and Anchor Drive in Harmar.

It’s unclear what led to the crash. Allegheny County Police continue to investigate, said spokesman Jim Madalinsky.

A cause or manner of death was not released Thursday.

Police said county dispatchers were notified of the crash at 8:06 a.m. Wednesday in the area of 6 Anchor Way. First responders found Bailey dead inside the vehicle, a white Tesla.

Detectives at the scene Wednesday were investigating Electric Vehicle charging stations in a nearby Target parking lot. It appeared Bailey’s vehicle entered the creek from that direction.

Police also determined that Bailey’s vehicle struck a parked car in a parking lot during the incident.
