Apollo Trust Bank robbed; suspect from Vandergrift apprehended

Kiski Township police charged a Vandergrift man with robbing the Apollo Trust bank along River Road in North Apollo just before 2:30 p.m. on Monday.

Police said Bradley Mondi, 33, was charged with robbery, theft and related charges.

Officers apprehended Mondi approximately a half mile away behind a business along River Road in Parks Township. Mondi discarded the money in the nearby woods, which was recovered, according to Kiski Township Sgt. Thomas Dessell.

Police did not disclose how much cash was stolen.

No injuries were reported.
