Armstrong County Jail inmate faces more charges for throwing feces
An inmate at the Armstrong County Jail is accused of throwing feces on his cellmate and threatening correctional officers.
Edward Daniel Wilson Jr., 18, of Kittanning is facing a felony charge of aggravated harassment by a prisoner as well as two misdemeanor counts of harassment, said Trooper Michael Dunlap of the state police in Kittanning.
The incidents happened on Jan. 24.
Dunlap said the victim, a 36-year-old inmate, reported Wilson threw him around by his shirt before throwing feces on him.
Dunlap didn’t identify the victim.
“The whole thing, minus the throwing of feces, was … basically a harassment between inmates. There was nothing more than he was trying to boss his roommate around,” Dunlap said. “There was never a fight, altercation, anything like that.
“He did grab him … but it wasn’t a violent incident.”
State law says a prisoner commits aggravated harassment when, while in custody, he or she intentionally causes or attempts to cause another person to come into contact with blood, seminal fluid, saliva, urine or feces by throwing, tossing, spitting or expelling such fluid or material.
The same day, Wilson threatened correctional officers, Dunlap said.
“He was verbally threatening to beat them up and possibly have his dad beat them up,” Dunlap said.
Jail records show Wilson has been in the jail since Oct. 11 on a felony charge of witness intimidation. His bond is set at $25,000.
