Arnold City Hall on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019.

Arnold will resume recycling collection on May 15, the city announced.

Collection had been suspended because of covid-19, administrative Assistant Amy Dziobak said.

The city collects recyclables once per month. Recycling is collected on Fridays on a scheduled based on when garbage is picked up.

Recycling is taken on the second Friday of each month for residents whose garbage is collected on Monday and Tuesday; on the third Friday for those with garbage collection on Wednesdays; and on the fourth Friday for those with garbage pickup on Thursdays.

Items accepted in recycling are newspapers, magazines, phone books and printer paper; clear, green or brown glass bottles and jars; aluminum, steel and tin cans; and plastics with a #1 or #2 in the recycling triangle.

All recycling must be placed in blue recycling bins, which are available at City Hall. For no-contact distribution, call ahead to 724-337-4441.
