An Arnold woman faces charges after, police say, two 9-year-olds fell from her car’s hood as she was driving, injuring both children.

New Kensington Police this week charged Kaitlin Ann Golding, 28, with aggravated assault by motor vehicle, simple assault, reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of children and several traffic violations.

On Oct. 13, New Kensington police responded to Memorial Park off Oates Boulevard, according to a criminal complaint.

Park surveillance footage showed the boys — Golding’s son, and a friend — on the hood of a car as the vehicle was in motion, the complaint said.

The vehicle slowed down as it approached a speed bump and video footage showed both children falling off the car, the complaint said.

One of the boys was unresponsive for a short period of time, authorities said. The other boy was taken to the hospital and treated for broken bones.

Golding allegedly told officers it was a “stupid act that she had done, and that she did the same as a kid,” the complaint said.

A preliminary hearing hasn’t yet been scheduled.
