A man was shot and killed at East Ken Manor in New Kensington on Wednesday, authorities said.

The shooting was reported just before 5:30 p.m. on Dent Drive, according to a Westmoreland County 911 dispatcher.

Police Chief Bob Deringer confirmed a man was found inside a car with multiple gunshot wounds and did not survive.

The victim’s name and information about the car was not released. Police have no suspects.

“It’s an active investigation,” Deringer said late Wednesday night. “Detectives are working all the angles right now, and we are still attempting to develop suspects with the assistance of the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office.”

East Ken Manor is operated by the Westmoreland County Housing Authority.

The dispatcher confirmed that the coroner was called to the scene.
