A bridge on Dime Road (Alternate Route 66) in Parks Township that runs over Stitts Run will be closed for nearly two weeks starting Tuesday.

The bridge is being replaced, and the closure will allow crews to perform structural work on the Stitts Run bridge.

Traffic will be detoured through Friday, July 17. PennDOT did not include the detour route when announcing the work on Friday.

After July 17, single-lane closures with alternating traffic controlled by flaggers will be in place.

On Monday there will be single-lane, alternating traffic as a result of work to relocate minor utilities and replace waterlines.

The work is part of the $1.14 million project that started in March. It’s being done by Kukurin Contracting, LLC, Corp., a Washington Township-based company.
