The Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company is seeking donations of food and money for a luncheon after funeral services for Corey Comperatore on Friday, with plans to feed around 500 people.

Comperatore, who was killed Saturday while attending Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s rally in Butler County, served as the company’s fire chief in the early 2000s.

Fire officials told TribLive they expect firefighters and other emergency personnel from across Pennsylvania as well as Virginia, West Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Ohio — even California — to attend, in addition to family and close friends who were invited to the private service.

The luncheon is not open to the public.

Zion United Community Church is assisting with the luncheon, Pastor Seth McClymonds confirmed.

Those interested in contributing are asked to deliver food to the station Thursday evening or early Friday. Other items, such as plates and drinks, can be delivered sooner.

Money can be donated to the Venmo handle @jreamer0209 or via check to Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 155, Sarver, PA 16055.

The station also is collecting donations for the Comperatore family by cash or check and has set up a small memorial with his turnout gear.
