Anyone craving a Whopper soon will be able to have it their way again — and in a familiar Harrison location.

Burger King at 1509 Freeport Road, in the heart of the Natrona Heights business corridor, is opening in the same location that formerly operated as a Home of the Whopper for about four years.

The restaurant closed in November 2022 without notice. It will open its doors under new management, Carrols Corp.

It was not clear when opening day is scheduled.

A manager giving on-the-spot job interviews at the site Monday was not authorized to comment.

”We are excited to share the Burger King ‘You Rule’ experience with the Natrona Heights community once we open,” said Eileen Begley, director of marketing.

She also was not able to provide dates for opening or the number of jobs to be created but said that information would be forthcoming.

Construction crews were working inside and out to prep the location. Interviews are being conducted all week.

Carrols is a Syracuse-based restaurant group and is the largest Burger King franchisee in the world. It operates more than 1,000 Burger Kings and 55 Popeyes restaurants in 23 states.

When Burger King first opened in a newly constructed building in September 2017, it drew so much attention that drive-through traffic was backed up along Freeport Road for the first few days.
