A pickup truck went off Wildlife Lodge Road in Lower Burrell on Thursday night, going over a hillside and landing in the dog park area at K-9 Officer Derek Kotecki Memorial Park.

At around 11:10 p.m., Lower Burrell first responders were dispatched to Wildlife Lodge Road for the crash, said Brennan Sites, chief of Lower Burrell Vol. Fire Co. 3.

“A vehicle went off Wildlife Lodge and struck a fire hydrant which caused a massive water break there,” Sites said. “The car ended up in the dog park.”

No injuries were reported, Sites said.

It was unclear what might have led to the crash. Police Chief John Marhefka did not immediately return a request for comment Friday.
