Plum High School graduates made their way onto the football field to thunderous applause at the start of the commencement ceremony May 24.

Bleachers were packed with family and friends of the 268 diploma recipients.

School board representative Lauren Price delivered some opening remarks. The chamber choir performed the national anthem and Plum’s alma mater.

The Air Force JROTC cadets presented the colors during the ceremony. Their movements were crisp and deliberate as if done by seasoned military veterans.

Attendees heard short speeches of encouragement from school board member Adam Hill and Heather Hibner, high school principal.

Seniors Annabel Arhin, Thomas Zummo and student council president Alexander Miller entertained and inspired their peers with stories of their time in the district.

Class of 2023 president Kaylnn Berringer and Class of ’24 president Brooke Hudec participated in the passing of the cap and gown. Other district administrators also participated in the ceremony.
