Crash closes Route 422 in both directions in East Franklin

A section of Route 422 in Armstrong County is closed in both directions because of a crash, according to state police.

The road was closed in the area of Glade Run Road in East Franklin Township around 2 p.m. Saturday. It remained closed as of about 4:30 p.m.

No information on the crash or the severity of any injuries was released.

State police were asking the public to avoid the area.

Traffic is being detoured using Butler Road, state police said.
