No one was injured in a fiery two-car crash Tuesday in Harmar near its boundary with Cheswick, according to township police Chief Jason Domaratz.

One motorist tried to turn left onto Cheswick Avenue/Low Grade Road from Freeport Road around 6:35 p.m. and was struck by a oncoming vehicle.

One person was taken to a local hospital and released after being evaluated, he said.

Occupants of both vehicles were able to get out of their vehicles, he said. The car that caught fire was smoking before it ignited, Domaratz said. The cause of the car fire is unknown but could have been caused by a ruptured fuel line, he said.

No charges have been filed. The crash is under investigation, Domaratz said.
