Natrona Heights man killed in crash on Route 28

A man was killed in a crash off Route 28 at exit 15 near Harrison and Tarentum on Tuesday night, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Charles Crowe, 48, of Natrona Heights was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the wreck around 7:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Dispatchers said the exit reopened overnight. State police are investigating.

This was the second fatal crash on Route 28 Tuesday night. The first happened around 4:30 p.m., when a man was killed on the exit ramp to Route 910 in Harmar.
