Emergency crews are wrapping up the scene of a fire on Godfrey Road in Gilpin.

Firefighters were called to the 100 block of Godfrey Road, on the banks of the Allegheny River, around 5:45 a.m. for a report of a fully involved house fire.

Gilpin fire Chief Phil McConville said the single-family home, which he described as a “camp” home,” was not occupied and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
