Fire crews responded to a house fire in Vandergrift on Tuesday evening.

Vandergrift Fire Company No. 1 confirmed they sent crews to battle a blaze at 309 Elm Street just before 9 p.m.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., a Westmoreland County 911 dispatcher said the “fire is knocked down” and crews remained at the scene.

There were no ambulance transports, according to the dispatcher.
