The Deer Lakes School Board, like other government bodies, scheduled virtual meetings in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The school board will hold an agenda meeting on April 14 and a voting meeting on April 21. Both start at 7 p.m.

The meetings will be available via Zoom conferencing, as well as in-person and by telephone, officials said. People can ask questions by e-mailing Business Manager and Board Secretary Jennifer Emmonds at jemmonds@deerlakes.net.

Members of the public who wish to participate using Zoom can follow a Zoom link that will be posted on the district’s website on April 13. Those who don’t have Zoom can participate in the meetings via telephone by calling 1-312-626-6799 at the scheduled times and dates.

People also will have the ability to attend the meetings in person, district spokesman Jim Cromie said. The meetings will be held in the high school library. Proper social distancing protocols will be followed.

“We’ll be set up for that,” Cromie said.
