A developer seeking to build upscale 55-plus housing in Frazer is expected to present its plan Tuesday.

Foxlane Homes is scheduled to have a conditional use hearing at the start of the township supervisors meeting, after which the board could vote on the project, Supervisor/Secretary Lori Ziencik said. The public can comment on the plan at the meeting.

The Philadelphia-based developer is eyeing property along Butler-Logan Road on a hill just above the Pittsburgh Mills mall. Ziencik said the large tract of land was recently graded.

Foxlane representatives did not return calls seeking comment.

Ziencik said the company already pitched its proposal to the township planning commission for preliminary land development.

If approved, the Foxlane plan would follow a maintenance-free living trend that’s seen similar developments approved in Buffalo Township, West Deer and North Hills.

Foxlane’s website touts the homes as luxury first-floor living. At The Landings in North Hills, they start at $484,000 for two bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage.

The homes “raise the bar for 55+ resort-style living. At the heart of the community is the bustling clubhouse with plentiful amenities and daily activities,” according to the website.

If approved by Frazer, residents would have quick access to the Route 28 Expressway with the Exit 12A ramp at the Mills mall.
