Dorseyville Road between Rawlins Run Road and Fox Chapel Road in Indiana Township has reopened to traffic, Allegheny County Public Works officials announced Friday.

The road had been closed since Aug. 21 for the replacement of a bridge over Little Pine Creek.

County officials said the project was done by Plum-based Pugliano Construction Co. as part of a $2.6 million contract. That contract also includes work on five other bridges.

Another project on Dorseyville Road — involving paving, base repairs, drainage improvements, shoulder work and guardrail replacement — is ongoing.

That work requires periodic single-lane closures between Fox Chapel Road and Saxonburg Boulevard. Flaggers are being used to control traffic at work zones.

It is expected to end this month.
