No one was hurt in a four-vehicle, chain-reaction crash on the New Kensington side of the Tarentum bridge Wednesday morning, said New Kensington police Chief Bob Deringer.

The crash was reported shortly after 7:30 a.m. Authorities remained at the scene until about 8:45 a.m.

Deringer said the crash happened in the lanes heading from New Kensington to Tarentum. A tri-axle dump truck “struck the car in front of it and pushed that car into the one in front of it and so on,” Deringer said.

The crash remained under investigation.
