East Deer has closed its municipal offices to visitors because of the coronavirus outbreak, but office staff can still be reached by phone and email.

The township building, which includes police and municipal offices, will remain on restricted access until further notice, officials said.

Township staff can be reached at 724-224-3434 ext. 4 or eastdeermanager@outlook.com. Police can be reached at the office at 724-224-3434 ext. 2. People with non-emergencies also can call 412-473-3056. For emergencies, call 911.

Water and refuse bill payments will be accepted through the mail and via the drop box on Bellview Street near the rear entrance. Check payments are preferred. If residents pay by cash, they are asked to pay the exact amount that is listed on the bill. Any overpayment will be applied as a credit to their account.

The tax collector’s office also has been closed until further notice. Real estate and per capita taxes must be paid by mail only, officials said. Questions can be directed to 724-274-5748.
