Due to a water main break along Bull Creek Road, the Fawn-Frazer Joint Water Authority issued a water conservation order for all of its customers.

All unnecessary use of water is prohibited, according to the order. In addition, customers are asked to conserve on the use of water for drinking and sanitary purposes.

According to the authority, the quality of water is not affected and boiling of water is not necessary.

The break first was reported on Tuesday. As of Wednesday afternoon, crews still were working to repair it. Water service is cut off to some customers along Bull Creek Road and the surrounding area during the repairs.

The authority will notify residents when the conservation order is lifted.
