An Allegheny Township man previously accused of sexually assaulting four people now faces rape charges in connection with an alleged 2018 incident.

Township police on Thursday charged Eric Alan Wright, 48, with rape, sexual assault, burglary, indecent exposure and two counts of indecent assault.

Police Sgt. Dan Uncapher said the latest allegations surfaced as police investigated other ones against Wright.

“Thus far we have three victims under 18 and two over 18, including the latest one,” Uncapher said.

A criminal complaint in the latest case said Wright raped a woman inside her residence in 2018 after she had gone to a business where he worked. Two weeks after Wright told the woman she didn’t have to pay a $20 bill, he showed up at her residence demanding the money. The rape happened after the woman gave him the money, police said.

Wright is being held in Westmoreland County Prison.

Other cases include allegations that Wright raped and assaulted two girls in Allegheny Township and Vandergrift; exposed himself to a 50-year-old woman; and sexually assaulted another person before and after she had become an adult.

Uncapher couldn’t say whether additional charges are anticipated involving other alleged victims.
