Firefighters responded to a call Wednesday night at a warehouse on Greensburg Road in Lower Burrell.

Firefighters responded to a fire Wednesday night at a warehouse in Lower Burrell.

Lower Burrell Fire Company No. 1 led the response by multiple fire departments just before 9:30 p.m., according to a Westmoreland County emergency dispatcher.

The dispatcher identified the business in the 300 block of Greensburg Road as Allegheny Paving. The warehouse is located on Greensburg Road at Westmoreland Avenue and near a Dairy Queen.

Firefighters used ladder trucks to fight the fire from the roof and were seen cutting into the side of the building with a saw.

Police at the scene said the fire was under control at 10:30 p.m. No injuries were reported, police said.

Greensburg Road was closed to traffic in both directions between Chicago and Westmoreland avenues because hoses were connected to at least one hydrant on the other side of Greensburg Road from the fire, police said.

Firefighters cleared the scene about 12:20 a.m., according to Westmoreland County 911.
