Former Highlands teacher charged with sexually assaulting, extorting 2 minors
A former Highlands School District teacher is being charged with sexually assaulting and extorting two young students, police say.
Sean M. Dicer, 53, of Brackenridge, is accused of assaulting the boys, who are now 16, when they were 11 and 12 years old, according to the criminal complaint.
One of the boys, who said he met Dicer at a park when he was 8 years old, said he was assaulted at least 10 times, according to the complaint. Dicer acted as a father figure to him growing up, the complaint said.
The assault occurred during the summer of 2021 at Dicer’s home, the complaint said.
When one boy said he would tell people what happened after the summer was over, Dicer allegedly apologized and said he would give the boy “anything he wanted,” according to the complaint.
Police claim Dicer paid the first boy more than $6,000 since 2022 via Cash App, according to proof of payments the boy provided officers.
On Nov. 7, Tarentum police notified Allegheny County police of a ChildLine Report made by a 16-year-old boy, detailing the assault.
Detectives were then able to identify Dicer as the assailant.
He was arrested Thursday and placed in Allegheny County Jail, according to police.
Dicer, whose was denied bond for safety reasons, is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
