Changes to the Harrison business district could be coming.

There’s space for a new restaurant now that the former Burger King building is officially on the market.

The 1,900-square-foot space sits at 1513 Freeport Road, in the heart of the township’s commercial corridor.

Listed for lease by CBRE Group Inc., the property had been “Home of the Whopper” for about four years.

Burger King opened in a newly constructed restaurant in September 2017 and drew such attention that drive-through traffic was backed up along Freeport Road for the first few days.

The site closed its doors in November.

CBRE agent Jason Cannon did not return calls seeking comment on the property.

The cost of the lease is not listed online.

According to the website, the restaurant sits on nearly a half-acre and is within walking distance of Highlands middle and high schools and St. Joseph High School. The Heights Plaza shopping center also is nearby.
