Frazer police officers will see a 3% annual increase in hourly wages for the next three years as part of an agreement between township supervisors and the Frazer Township Police Association.

Supervisors earlier this month approved a collective bargaining agreement between the township and the Frazer police association through the end of 2026.

“We have a good bargaining relationship with our police department,” said Lori Ziencik, Frazer’s township secretary and a township supervisor.

Chief Terry Kuhns is not included in the agreement, Ziencik said.

Health care benefit contributions have changed from being completely paid by the township, to requiring new full-time officers to contribute $200 per month for single coverage, she said.

Hourly wages for a sergeant are $28.80 in 2024, $29.66 in 2025 and $30.54 in 2026.

Top patrolmen will make $26.67 per hour in 2024, $27.47 in 2025 and $28.29 in 2026.

A first-year base patrolman in 2024 will make $24 per hour, then $26.10 in 2025 and $28.29 in 2026. A second-year base patrolman in 2024 will make $25.34 per hour, then $27.47 in 2025 and $28.29 in 2026.

A first-year base patrolman who starts in 2025 will make $24.72 an hour and then make $26.88 in 2026. A first-year base patrolman who starts in 2026 will make $25.46 an hour.

The agreement also includes all eligible officers be enrolled in a pension plan maintained by the township and the state’s municipal retirement system.

All officers contribute 5% of their total compensation to the plan.
