Free Thanksgiving dinners planned in the Alle-Kiski Valley

Churches and organizations are serving free Thanksgiving dinners throughout the Valley. Not all dinners are on Thanksgiving. Note the date and reservation deadlines.

Arnold

Lazarus Tomb - Sheep Inc., 1821 Fifth Ave, will serve free takeout dinners from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 26 at the church. Pickup will be at the front door. One meal per person please. Brackenridge

Allegheny Valley Salvation Army Corps and Community Center will distribute free Thanksgiving to-go trays from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 22 in the parking lot, 917 Brackenridge Ave. No reservations required.

Buffalo Township

Evangel Heights Church will distribute free to-go meals from noon to 3 p.m. or until the food is gone Thanksgiving Day at the church, 120 Beale Road, Buffalo Township.

Freeport

St. Mary Mother of God Church will host a free takeout Thanksgiving Day dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 608 High St. Delivery is available. Leechburg

Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church, 271 Main St., will sponsor a free take-out Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 1 p.m. at the church. Reservations required by Nov. 23. Donations will be accepted. Reservations: 724-845-1901 or church@crcpc.org

Lower Burrell

Bethel United Methodist Church, 150 Alder St., will serve free takeout dinners from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 26 at the church. Pickup will be at the backdoor in the parking lot.
