A Texas man accused of various crimes against a child has been apprehended, Gilpin police said Thursday night.

Gilpin police were looking for Michael Henry Brucker, 31, of Montgomery, Texas. He is accused of sexually assaulting a child younger than 13.

Charges against Brucker include aggravated indecent assault of a child, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and making terroristic threats.

After asking Wednesday for the public’s help in finding Brucker, Gilpin police announced on the department’s Facebook page Thursday night that he had been taken into custody.

As of early Friday morning, court records had not yet been updated reflecting that Brucker had been apprehended.
