Gilpin police want to find a man and a car who they say were involved in the burglary of a township business.

Police Chief Chris Fabec said people should be on the lookout for a white, four-door Dodge Neon with a missing driver’s side rear hubcap.

He said its driver, a white man between 20 and 30 years old, is believed to have stolen about 300 pounds of copper the morning of Oct. 29.

The suspect was wearing a mask, a winter hat and dark clothing.

An alert about the incident was posted on the police department’s Facebook page.

Anyone seeing either the vehicle or the man, or who has information as to the whereabouts of either, should call Gilpin police at 724-845-7979.
