The Gilpin Township municipal building.

Gilpin residents can now catch up on township meetings they can’t attend in-person.

Gilpin supervisor Charles Stull said in a social media post that he will be sharing audio recordings of supervisor meetings through Google Drive.

“My goal is to keep our community informed and engaged in Township activities, and I hope this helps make our work more accessible,” Stull wrote in the post.

He said he has been recording the audio of meetings since March in replacement for livestreaming the public meetings — an intermittent practice of the supervisors since 2020 until the board majority voted it out in February.

The decision received criticism from residents and has been discussed at meetings since.

Stull said he initially used the audio recordings for personal reference. After receiving several requests for easier public access to meeting information, Stull decided to make them available.

To view the meetings, residents will still have to attend in person, he said.
