Harrison residents will have the chance to dispose of their old recycling bins at the municipal office Saturday.

The collection is from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at One Municipal Drive.

Township residents received large, green carts with lids when Noble Environmental took over the garbage hauling contract in January. Items are no longer accepted from the old red, green and blue containers.

The township commissioners voted in September to change from Waste Management and opted for a three-year, $4.9 million contract with Noble because it includes unlimited bags of garbage and collection of bulk items at no extra charge.

Residents pay $36.84 a month for garbage collection in the contract’s first year.
