Harrison Commissioners are seeking $1.4 million in funding through Allegheny County for sewer upgrades and other township projects.

The board approved four grant applications. They include:

• About $330,000 for the Oak Manor sanitary sewer realignment.

• About $314,400 for the Olive Avenue storm sewer upgrade.

• About $499, 700 for the Ivanhoe Street sanitary sewer upgrade.

• About $262,400 for the Neely Street-Caroline Alley rehab.

Money is being sought through the Redevelopment Authority, which manages public funding for blighted reduction, infrastructure upgrades and business development.

Most recently, the county awarded more than $10 million for 72 projects through the fund. Work ranged from affordable housing developments in Sharpsburg to HVAC replacement at the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium.
