Harrison is seeking bids from contractors interested in milling and resurfacing 15 roads in the township.
The township estimates that its 2021 road program will cost about $430,000. Sealed bids are due by 4 p.m. April 22.
The most expensive work is expected to be on Federal Street, at about $72,000. The township is requiring that milling and paving on Federal Street must be done on a Saturday.
Milling and resurfacing all of Pennsylvania Avenue is expected to cost almost $60,000.
Other roads included in the program, with the estimated cost of the improvements, are:
• High Street from Painter Avenue to Jefferson Avenue, about $15,000.
• Two portions of Altermoor Drive, totaling about $55,600.
• All of Tea Rose Lane, including its intersection with Talisman, about $27,000.
• Glenn Street and Neely Street between Burtner Road and Ivanhoe Street, about $15,000.
• All of Arizona Avenue, about $22,000.
• Alabama Avenue from Pacific Avenue to Broadview Boulevard, about $26,000.
• Union Avenue from Idaho Avenue to Montana Avenue, about $37,000.
• All of J.P. Marino Boulevard, about $22,000.
• Broadview Boulevard from Springhill Road south to the first stop sign, about $40,000.
• Opal Court from Van Doren to McWilliams, about $21,500.
• All of Ash Street, about $3,000.
• An alley between Freeport Road and Adams Street, from Springhill Road to Freeport Road, about $8,500.
Base repairs are included on all roads except Ash Street and the alley between Freeport Road and Adams Street.
