Kathy Grabigel, an alumni of Highlands High School and current vocal director of the musical program, performs a song for the audience during the 10th annual Highlands Musical Cabaret on Saturday, Feb. 5 at Highlands High School auditorium. Grabigel met her husband, Jeff, another alumni who also performed on Saturday night, while working together on stage shows in college.

Several alumni performed Saturday, Feb. 8 in the 10th annual Highlands Musical Cabaret, celebrating 35 years of the district’s high school musicals.

In addition to the musical entertainment, the event featured raffle baskets, a 50/50 raffle and a meet-and-greet session.

Directed by high school choral/musical director Michael Zeiler — himself a Highlands High School alum — the concert showcased about 18 former students.

All proceeds supported this year’s musical, “Disney’s High School Musical 2: On Stage!”, scheduled for March 25-27.
