Highlands School District will host a covid-19 vaccine clinic Dec. 14.
The event is a partnership with UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
All three vaccines — Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson — will be offered.
“We are providing increased access to the vaccines that will enable our students to stay safe and protected,” said Cathleen Cubelic, assistant superintendent.
Cubelic serves as the district’s pandemic coordinator.
“This will help to ensure less disruption to their learning and educational progress,” she said.
Students, staff and community members, ages 5 and older, can schedule an appointment from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Highlands Community Center. The center is at 1350 Broadview Blvd.
A second-dose clinic will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 4, also at the community center.

Booster shots also are available.
District officials this year began posting a covid-19 dashboard on the website to track its cases. Totals have varied from zero in the week of Sept. 27 to a high of 27 cases during the week of Sept. 13.
Since the start of the school year, the district has tracked 143 confirmed cases in its four buildings.
Last week, the district recorded 11 cases at the high school, one at the middle school, five at the elementary school and one and the early childhood center.
