Holiday happenings in the Alle-Kiski Valley

Santa Claus and his helpers will be visiting many locations in the Alle-Kiski Valley. Here is a list for you to check twice:

Allegheny Township

Photos with Santa will be from 10 a.m. to noon at Taco Bell, Route 56. The first 150 children 10 and younger will receive a treat bag from Santa. Cost: $5, which will be donated to Kingswood Home for Children.

Apollo

Santa will visit Drake Log Cabin, Williams Alley, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday. There will be free cookies and cider and gifts for children.

Arnold

Arnold Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 will host a brunch with Santa from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 18 at Phillip’s Lounge, 1735 Fourth Ave. There will be raffles and a 50-50. Cost: $15, includes pancakes, sausage, eggs and beverages, photo with Santa and a children’s craft; younger than 5, free. Tickets: citizens-vfc-1.square.site.

• Arnold Volunteer Engine Company No. 2 will escort Santa through the upper fire district beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and 6 p.m. Thursday. Tuesday’s route will begin on Freeport Road at the Sunoco station and continue into the McKean plan, down the hill from Kimball Avenue and finish at Ridge Avenue. Thursday night, he will start at Alcoa Drive and finish on Victoria Avenue. Rain date is Dec. 16.

Cheswick

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the borough gazebo, Pittsburgh Street at McLean Avenue, from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday. There will be music, hot cocoa and cookies.

Indiana Township

Rural Ridge Volunteer Fire Company will escort Santa through the township beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday. The planned route is 10 a.m., the Patch; 10:15 a.m., Rural Ridge Estates; 11 a.m., Crawford Run Road; 11:15 a.m. Little Deer Creek Road; 11:30 a.m., Diane Lane; 11:45 a.m., Shawnee Ridge; 12:45 p.m., Rich Hill Estates; and 1 p.m., RichMont Estates.

New Kensington

Knead Community Cafe will sponsor a story time with Mrs. Claus from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the cafe, 1011 Barnes St. Children 10 and younger welcome. There will be a 30-minute movie, singing, cookies and milk.

Parks

A Breakfast with Santa will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at Parks Township Volunteer Firehall, 1119 Dalmation Drive. Cost: $5; 12 and younger, free. Menu: pancakes, waffles, sausage and bacon. There will be a meet-and-greet with Santa, silent auction and craft table.

Springdale

Springdale Volunteer Fire Department will escort Santa through the borough beginning at 6 p.m. Monday. The route will be 6 p.m., Lincoln and Porter, 6:10 p.m., Garfield and Oak, 6:20 p.m., Railroad and Center; 6:30 p.m., Hoeveler and Lincoln; 6:40 p.m., Butler and Willow; 6:50 p.m., James and Willow; 7 p.m., Marion and James; 7:10 p.m., Ridge and Maple; 7:20 p.m., Colfax and Rosslyn; 7:30 p.m., Colfax and Chestnut; 7:40 p.m., Porter and Elwyn; 7:50 p.m., Duquesne Court; and 8 p.m., Springdale Fire Station.
