A woman arrested during a late September raid at a home in Vandergrift has been accused by police of being a meth dealer.

Olivia Rimma Newcamp, 27, of the 400 block of Cedar Run Road in Indiana Township was charged with two felony counts of possession of drugs with the intent to deliver along with three misdemeanor drug charges and a count of tampering with evidence.

Newcamp was charged by summons. She was ordered to appear for a preliminary hearing Jan. 16 before District Judge Cheryl Peck Yakopec.

Four Vandergrift officers and two from Allegheny Township served a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Delaware Avenue shortly after 9:30 a.m. Sept. 20 and detained several people found inside and outside the house, according to a criminal complaint.

While clearing the house, police found a window open in a room at the back of the house where they found a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine, a digital scale and packaging material, the complaint said.

Police said they also found a purse in the room with Newcamp’s identification card inside.

A neighbor told police they saw a woman fleeing from the home.

Police said they found an Old Spice container outside the window that had four bundles of stamp bags filled with heroin. A baggie of suspected meth also was found near the open window, they said.

Investigators got a search warrant for several cellphones that were found in the room, the complaint said.

Police said they found messages on the phones that included conversations about buying and selling narcotics.

Previous arrest

In January, Newcamp was charged with a felony count of fleeing from Hampton police along with four misdemeanor charges that included two for drug possession, according to court records.

On Sept. 28, she pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor fleeing from police charge and was sentenced to a year of probation, court records show.
