Single-lane restrictions on Route 28 from Harmar to East Deer will resume Monday.

Lane closures northbound will go from the RIDC Park exit to the Russellton/Creighton exit daily from 3 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to PennDOT.

Lane closures southbound will occur between the same exits daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to PennDOT.

The work is weather dependent, so restrictions may not occur daily, PennDOT said.

PennDOT anticipates restrictions to continue through the spring as Swank Construction Company crews conduct “miscellaneous construction activities,” PennDOT said.

The work is part of an ongoing $27.68 million restoration project on Route 28 between Harmar and East Deer. Constructions includes milling and resurfacing, concrete pavement preservation, bridge rehabilitation and preservation, guide rail and drainage improvements, ADA curb ramps installation, signing and pavement marking, and other projects.

Work is expected to end in 2024.
