Lane shifts on Greensburg Road in Plum end
Lane shifts on Greensburg Road in Plum have ended earlier than expected, Allegheny County’s department of public works announced Tuesday.
The lane shifts began March 13 and were originally expected to last into December. They were required for the replacement of Pucketa Creek Bridge No. 5, which carries Lincoln Beach Drive over the creek. The bridge is co-owned by Allegheny and Westmoreland counties.
Work included building a temporary bridge; and installing new pavement, curbs, drainage structures, guardails, pavement markings and signage.
During the project, traffic in both lanes on Greensburg Road was moved and lane widths were reduced.
Pugliano Construction of Plum completed the $1 million project.
