Leechburg's Lingrow Farm hosting a wedding open house
Getting married soon? Lingrow Farm is hosting an open house.
Brides- and grooms-to-be are invited from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 19 in Gilpin Township where more than 20 professional wedding vendors will be available to help couples plan that special day. The event includes tours of 50 acres of landscaped gardens and farmland. Admission is free.
“Everything they (engaged couples) need will be under one roof,” says Joe Hesketh, Lingrow Farm general manager. “It can be one-stop shopping. We want to make it a good experience for them. We love having weddings here.”
Professionals include an officiant who teaches dance lessons, an interior designer who can help with decorations, hair and makeup experts, a videographer to capture the memories, plush hotel choices, a bakery with sweet treats and a jeweler celebrating 69 years in business.
This will be the first time Seita Jewelers of Tarentum will participate in the event.
The business was started by Dom Seita in 1951. His daughter Sandi and her husband Curt Marino, Natrona Heights natives, took over 19 years ago and have since tripled the space of the store, Curt Marino says.
Their oldest daughter Nicole Moret is the manager.
“It’s an opportunity to start a new relationship with people we have not yet met,” says Marino, who plans to bring about 100 pieces to the event including loose diamonds, engagement rings and wedding bands.
Every vendor will have a giveaway . There will be special pricing for those who book that day.
Guests can enjoy light bites from Lingrow Farm’s sister company Twisted Thistle, which handles catering for the venue. There will also be samples of mimosas and sangria.
“This is high engagement season,” says Jessica Wasson event coordinator at Lingrow Farm. “So we thought this was a way to both showcase the farm and host vendors who we have worked with us in the past to help these couples plan the perfect day.”
Lingrow Farm is located at 188 Forks Church Road, Gilpin Township.
