Two people in the Alle-Kiski Valley are much richer after buying winning lottery tickets in Harrison and Lower Burrell.

Someone won $3 million after buying a “3’s a Charm” scratch-off at the Welmart convenience store along Alter Road in Harrison’s Natrona Heights section, according to Pennsylvania Lottery officials. The ticket cost $30.

The manager of the store declined to comment. The store will receive $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.

A second person won $500,000 on a Lottery Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket sold Friday. That winning ticket was sold at VFW Post 92 along Wildlife Lodge Road Lower Burrell.

No one answered the phone at the VFW early Monday. The club will get $500 for selling the winning ticket.

Both prizes have been claimed, according to Lottery officials.
