Police have charged a Lower Burrell man and accused him of breaking into a Lower Burrell home twice to steal guns, blank checks and a credit card.

Jordan Bradley Keibler, 27, also is accused of stealing items from cars and the employee lockers at Woodpeckers Pub & Grub in Upper Burrell.

Keibler is facing charges filed by Lower Burrell and Upper Burrell police in incidents detailed in three cases. He is accused of burglary, theft, theft from a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, illegally possessing a firearm and other charges.

The two sets of charges stemming from the Lower Burrell incidents were waived Tuesday to Westmoreland County Court of Common Pleas. District Judge Cheryl Peck Yakopec in Allegheny Township will hold a hearing July 13 on the charges involving stolen items from Woodpeckers.

The series of charges began June 6 when Lower Burrell police responded to the theft of firearms from a city home. The homeowners told police they suspected Keibler of stealing two firearms and ammunition and personal checks while they were away.

According to court documents, Keibler admitted to police he stole the guns and traded them to a New Kensington man to satisfy a drug debt and buy more drugs. Police say he also confessed to stealing the checks.

Then, about a week later on June 14, the accuser reported to Lower Burrell police Keibler used their Sunoco credit card for six transactions. While at the police station, the accuser’s spouse called to report someone broke into a cabinet in their home containing guns. Police went to the home and found eight guns and ammunition were missing.

According to police, Keibler admitted he broke into a window of the Lower Burrell home June 13 to take the guns and ammunition while one resident was on the porch talking on her cellphone and her husband slept on the couch.

With the firearms in a duffel bag, Keibler sold the guns and ammunition for drugs and money, police say.

Because Keibler was convicted of burglary in 2014, according to police, he is not allowed to possess a gun.

Then on June 16, the owners of Woodpeckers visited Upper Burrell police to report a man stole items from parked cars and entered the employee entrance and stole items from workers’ lockers. Police say the bar has surveillance cameras that documented the person, later identified as Keibler by an employee.

Keibler was taken to the Westmoreland County jail in Greensburg in lieu of $50,000 bond.
