Community Supermarket in Lower Burrell is seen on a rainy day in August 2020. The store sold a jackpot-winning Cash 5 lottery ticket Friday.

Friday the 13th was a lucky day for a lottery player at Lower Burrell’s Community Supermarket.

A jackpot-winning Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket sold there for Friday’s drawing matched all five balls drawn — 19, 23, 30, 31, 41 — to win about $404,000, less withholding, the Pennsylvania Lottery announced Monday.

Community Supermarket in the Hillcrest shopping plaza will get a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The winner will have to claim the prize within a year of the drawing date.

More than 12,500 other Cash 5 with Quick Cash tickets also won prizes in the drawing, the lottery said.

In Cash 5 with Quick Cash, players select five numbers from 1 to 43 themselves or with computer-selected “quick picks.”

Players must match all five numbers drawn to win the jackpot. Players also win prizes for matching two, three or four winning numbers.

Chances of winning the Cash 5 jackpot prize are 1 in 962,598, the lottery said. The overall chance of winning any prize in the main Cash 5 game are about 1 in 10.5.
